I (Sam) am currently running a monthly Liberatory Consent Lab with a small group of participant-collaborators. This creative space is where I share rough draft ideas and practices from the courses I’m building.
We explore a new standard for consent and relationships based in embodiment, power awareness, and relational skill-building. I’m excited to learn together, get feedback, and shape the work in community.

Enthusiastic consent is no longer the gold standard, and theory alone isn't enough to change how we relate. Liberatory Consent is an experiential framework grounded in trauma-informed practice, relational skill-building, and intersectional power awareness. It supports participants in cultivating the nuanced, embodied skills to navigate relationships with empathy, self-advocacy, and integrity.

“Informative, collaborative, revolutionary, culture shifting” - Workshop Participant
“In a world that pulls us harshly between constant communal need and broken concepts of rugged individualism, the Liberatory Consent model is a breath of fresh air. It allows me to understand my care as a gift and helps me learn and honor my limits.” - Phil Stoesz, Co-Director and Certified Trainer of the Critical Response Process
“What resonated to me the most was…getting to practice these and really feeling what that felt like in my body...I think these ideas could help those in my community get more in touch with themselves, what they really want, have more self-understanding and be able to communicate more effectively and have more honest and positive relationships.” -Elena, Workshop Participant
“We can all acquire skills and build upon consent, shifting not only our world but the world around us.” -Rebecca, Workshop Participant
“This has been such an incredible deep dive on shame - I never realized just how much I had lurking under the surface. Sam does an incredible job of gently opening up the group, and building bonds between others and with ourselves.”
“I appreciated Sam's guidance in a gentle approach to meeting shame and working with it - not fighting against it - to see the underlying issue.”
“Any workshop with Sam is incredible, and this remains true when discussing shame. Shame is a tricky thing to discuss, especially in a group, but Sam helps to foster trust and participation. Through our shame sessions, I discovered how shame has been impacting my ability to experience pleasure. I feel that my quality of life has improved with this workshop.”
“Taking this course was genuinely transformative. It went far beyond the basics and created space for real reflection… The facilitators approached the topic with compassion and clarity, making it feel safe to ask questions and learn without shame… It’s one of those courses that stays with you and keeps shaping how you move through the world!”
“Sam's shame series was so beneficial! They create a safe space to share shame and receive support from others. I highly recommend!”
